The Department of Engineering Science offers programs leading to the Bachelor of Science, MSc and Doctor of Engineering Science degrees. The department's educational and research programs span the breadth of Basic Sciences (mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) and Engineering, representing a broad spectrum of fields.
Department of Engineering Science
The Engineering Science Program is multi departmental and interdisciplinary. This undergraduate program encompasses a variety of closely related areas of the physical and biological sciences, mathematics, and engineering. It is intended to provide a means whereby students, while acquiring knowledge of engineering methods, can pursue their interests in areas of natural science. The options offered within the curriculum prepare students for advanced study in engineering, science, and bioengineering.
There are four fully structured majors in the curriculum:
- Computational Engineering Science
- Engineering Mathematics
- Engineering Physics
- Environmental Engineering Science
Our undergraduate and graduate students find stimulation in discovery and innovation, and original research is an important component of the department's academic program at all levels.
